Winter clothing & plus size ski wear

Winter's great for wearing relaxing clothing, wrapping up warm in sweaters, warm coats and scarves.

There's nothing like a winter walk in the cold to make you enjoy coming back in to the warm and drinking a nice hot steaming mug of cocoa!

Whatever the temperature, adding scarves, hats and gloves can help keep you a whole bunch warmer - there's some great ranges now which are available in a variety of colours (for example, with Hawkshead) to help mix and match with your clothing. 

It's tempting to wear darker colours during the winter months, but it certainly cheers up a winters day if you're wearing a brightly coloured fleece, jacket or coat - try something a little adventurous this season.

Clothing for Skiing

Whether you're a first timer or an experienced skier, getting the right clothing is essential for your time on the slopes. 

In many resorts, it's possible to rent or hire some of your essential equipment, but you might want to buy some of the following for your trip:-

• Ski jackets - with the latest designs in advanced fabrics women's jackets will be a fashion statement too.  Top brands include Arc'teryx, Burton, Columbia, Mountain harwear & North Face. 
• Pants or trousers  are an essential part of your winter ski apparel.  Well known labels include Helly Hansen, Roxy & West beach

• Fleeces & warm tops - will help to keep the cold out for your apres ski adventures
• Hats, headwear, gloves & goggles - help keep the warmth in whilst enjoying the snow covered slopes
• Relaxing apres ski - take warm jumpers, leg warmers, hooded jackets (to keep your ears warm) and a sense of anticipation!
